Villustrators is an art and design studio based in Philadelphia, PA founded by two brothers in April 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic.

During these times, many families spend their days and nights behind closed doors, working, or engaging in other uneventful activities. Eliot Villasis, a lifelong illustrator and stricken with boredom, noticed a poorly written Do-Not-Disturb sign which was crudely taped to his mother's door. Crumpled edges and barely holding its own, it was an eyesore to an otherwise perfectly decent hallway. At least, that's how others might have perceived it. Eliot saw this humdrum thing as an opportunity. An opportunity to turn this eyesore into an eyecatcher. He designed a Do-Not-Disturb sign, drawn with an animated and thunderous twist; enough to catch the eyes of anyone who walked by. This was our beginning. He began to make more signs for more people, and soon enough, this group was founded.

OUR ARTIST

Eliot Villasis, the illustrator for our signs, is a lifelong artist. Since Grade 1, he has produced unique and exceptional works of art, including various comic series, trading cards, entire stage set backgrounds, signs for his school, numerous cards for friends and family, and much more. His style is distinct and his skills are frequently acknowledged by his peers and teachers. The signs on this website are but a fraction of a vast and voluminous portfolio.

Our mission is not just to provide for those in need of a shiny new sign. Since the inception of this project, our primary goal has been supporting those who are suffering during these difficult times. For this reason, we will be donating a large portion of our proceeds to Face to Face, a local charity whose mission is to provide struggling individuals and families with a variety of services that meet basic human needs and reduce suffering. Face to Face provides amazing services in the local Germantown community. To learn more about them, click here

Villustrators is a family operation and was founded with the prime goal of helping others through art. Eliot is our one and only Chief creative officer and is responsible for designing every sign you see here. Aidan is the architect of this website through which our art is presented. Staci and Erich, parents, assist with day-to-day operations and contribute to the entrepreneurial and charitable endeavors of their sons.
